About github.dawg.bot

github.dawg.bot is a public GitHub viewer. Paste a username or an owner/repo path and see the public profile or repository data on a clean, shareable URL with no login, no sign up, no API keys.

It is one lens of the Dawg identity graph. The other lenses live at discord.dog, mc.dog, steam.dog, and roblox.dog. Every lens reads from the same Dawg API; the data model is shared, only the rendering changes per platform.

What it shows

  • User profile at github.dawg.bot/<user>: avatar, bio, location, follower and repo counts, joined date, and links surfaced from the public GitHub API.
  • Repository preview at github.dawg.bot/<owner>/<repo>: stars, forks, watchers, default branch, license, topics, and homepage link.
  • Connections: when a GitHub account is linked to a Discord, Steam, or Minecraft profile through Dawg OAuth or surfaced via public metadata, the lens shows the cross-platform graph.
  • Embeds: append .png to any URL for a screenshot card. Append .json for a public JSON snapshot of the rendered data.

What it does not do

  • Sign you in. Sign-in lives at dawg.bot, the central account portal for every Dawg lens.
  • Show private data. Only public GitHub responses are rendered. Private repos, private contributions, and private email addresses never appear here.
  • Replace GitHub. Every page links back to the canonical github.com URL.
